Nigeria Collegiate Flag Football League
Flag football for Nigeria’s universities, colleges and polytechnics. Announced in July 2025 with the backing of NUGA and NPUGA, the NCFFL gives students — many of them NSSFFL graduates — a place to keep playing.
About the NCFFL
The Nigeria Collegiate Flag Football League provides a competitive platform for university, college and polytechnic students, bridging the gap between youth-level participation and elite national representation. The league encourages academic-athletic balance while fostering leadership and teamwork among young adults.

In partnership with NUGA
The NCFFL is organised by NAFA Sports Foundation in partnership with the Nigerian University Games Association (NUGA), and endorsed by NPUGA — so campus teams have a route into the university games.

“By institutionalising flag football within Nigerian universities, NCFFL is embedding the sport into the national youth sports ecosystem… Equipment, engagement, and opportunity have enabled universities to sustain flag football independently.”
